The Castle Group Earns Accolades as One of the "Best Places to Work in Massachusetts" Based on the Boston Business Journal's 2006 Award
Castle marks second consecutive placement on the "Best Places to Work" list and is the only public relations/events management agency among honorees
Boston, MA, May 15, 2006 - Great work is achieved in great environments. In the spirit of delivering superior client experiences and results by inspired professionals, The Castle Group, Inc. announced that it has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Massachusetts in Boston Business Journal's fourth annual awards program. The Castle Group also won this award in 2005. The award recognizes Castle's achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions and company culture.
"The Castle Group helps its clients communicate. By practicing what we preach, our open-door, full-disclosure policy to staff, coupled with great benefits, staff retention and a rewarding work experience, really does make the company a great place to work," said Sandy Lish, principal/co-founder of The Castle Group. "Of course, I want this to be a great place to work. This validation by our staff is what makes the honor meaningful and rewarding."
The Castle Group was one of more than 300 companies to qualify for consideration, making the top 20 list in its size category based on the results of employee-satisfaction surveys taken.
"For the fourth year in a row, our results validate how the creation of the right corporate culture can create powerful business advantages," said George Donnelly, Boston Business Journal editor. "Employees are proud to work for companies that are about more than just business."
The top 20 companies in four size categories--emerging (10-24 employees), small (25-100 employees), midsize (101-500 employees) and large (more than 500 employees)--will be profiled in a special supplement of the Boston Business Journal to be published on June 23, 2006.
A countdown celebration breakfast will be held on June 22 to announce the final rankings - including the top company in each category. Additional event information can be found online at http://events.bizjournals.com/2313.
The survey project was launched in January by the Boston Business Journal in conjunction with market research firm QMR Inc. Companies were evaluated on the results of more than 20,000 employee-satisfaction surveys. Employees answered questionnaires that addressed such factors as their pride in the company, company encouragement, support and recognition of achievement, and relationships with co-workers and supervisors. The results were analyzed and scored by assigning points to each question.
"Accommodating employees' personal needs pays back dividends of loyalty and productivity," said Boston Business Journal Publisher Michael Olivieri. "The companies on our list recognize that their commitment to employees is especially important as the economy strengthens and competition for talent continues to grow. The Best Places to Work know the care of their employees is instrumental in maintaining the quality and reputation for services and products."
